Motorcycle Paint and Airbrushing
You want to get your motorcycle, helmet, or leather painted but you have
questions. Well, I will certainly do my best to answer and address all
of your custom paint and airbrush related questions. Let's get started,
shall we.
How much? This is probably the most asked question of this (and any other)
custom paint shop. Well, here is a basic run-down of our prices for custom
paint and airbrush services.
Motorcycles
* Motorcycle paint jobs, complete, Basic: We can paint one tank and
two fenders any solid or metallic color for $900.00. This includes prep,
paint, clear, buffing and polishing.
* Motorcycle paint jobs, complete, Premium: We can paint your motorcyle
any kandy color, even two tone, for 1,500.00. This includes prep, base,
kandy, clear coat, plus buffing and polishing.
* Motorcycle paint jobs, complete, Deluxe: We can paint your motorcycle
any marbelized kandy color, kandy with metal flake or ice pearl, kameleon
or kameleon flake for 2,200.00
* Flames: With a basic paint job, $350.00. With Deluxe or Premium, $600.00.
Note: ghost flames on the Premium or Deluxe are only an additional $350.00.
Why the disparity in price? Kandy paint must be clear coated prior to
any airbrushing or graphics being applied. Which means that the paint
job has to be clear coated twice. Once to cover the kandy, and then
agin after the graphics are applied over the cleared kandy. With ghost
images, the graphics are applied to the base prior to the kandy application,
and before the clear coat.
* True Fire: $1,200.00
* Airbrushing: Pricing will vary from one job to the next. An eagle's
head on each side of your tank, and on your front fender will run you
$750.00 for the airbrushing, plus the paint job of your choice. . You
can add some flames into the mix for an additional 450.00, or true fire
for an additional $600.00. An eagle's head with true fire graphics on
your fairing will cost 900.00. You get the picture. The more airbrushing
invloved the higher the cost. I want you to understand that no matter
what you decide upon, you will get a beautiful unique piece of art.
Spend as little or as much as your budget and taster allow. You can
e-mail me the specific needs of your project and I will get back to
you with an accurate quote within 24 hours.
Helmets
* Paint Jobs, Basic: Solids or metallics, 225.00, plus the cost of
airbrushing.
* Paint jobs, Premium: Kandy colors, 400.00, plus the cost of airbrushing.
* Paint jobs, Deluxe: Kandies with metal flake, ice pearl, kameleon
pearl, or kameleon colors, 600.00, plus the cost of airbrushing.
Leather
* Airbrushing on leathers can be as little as $75.00 for a basic wolf,
eagle or skull. We can paint just about any subject matter, and with
rich detail. Also, we can add special effects color, such as kameleon
colors, pearlescents, metallics and flake. Larger murals with more than
one subject or intricate detail will obviously cost more than the minimum.
Occasionally I have airbrushed vests for sale
Do you warranty your work.? I stand 100% behind every paint job. Your
satisfaction is very important. Your paint and finish is guranteeed not
to fade, peel, crack, bubble or delaminate for a period of 36 months from
the date of delivery. The waranty is only good on complete paint jobs
(paint jobs that we complete, start to finish).
Limitations: There are no materials that are 100% safe against fuel.
If you spill fuel on your paint job, wipe it off immediately. Damage
caused by fuel vapors or spills can not be covered under my warranty.
I will cover the cost of meterials and labor to repair your paint job,
but you will be responsible for shipping charges. The warranty does
not cover damage resulting from impact chips, owner neglect, gas or
oil tank failure, riding accidents, or third-party repairs. We are not
responsible for labor charges to remove and re-install painted parts.
All warranty claims must be made in writing, including a brief description
of the problem and the date of origin.
How many coats of clear do you spray? I generally spray four to six coats
of clear. You can opt for a double dose of clear if you wish. This means
that after your parts are cleared and left to dry, we water sand and add
an additional four to six coats of clear before buffing and polishing.
This offers maximum protection, depth and gloss. Helmets, $75.00, cycles,
$150.00.
How much do you charge for shipping? Shipping charges vary. Generally,
what you pay to send the item to my shop is what I charge to send the
item back. The only additional charge ir for insurance, and that price
varies according the the value of the shipment. If you are planning to
buy your helmet or aftermarket parts from an online vendor you can save
a few dollars on shipping by having the items drop shipped from the vendor
directly to my shop. I will carry helemts in the near future, but for
now you will have to send me yours to get painted.
Do you ship to military bases? I ship anywhere UPS, USPS or FedEx will
go.
Do you provide concept sketches? I can, but there is a charge of $75.00
for helmets and $225.00 for motorcycles. The cost will be applied to your
total should you decide to do business.
What subjects can you paint? Pretty much anything. Eagles, wolves, skulls,
fantasy, portraits, flames, true fire, graphics, etc. I encourage you
to look through my portfolio to get an understanding of my style and skill
level. The images on my site represent my style of paining. You project
will be consistent with the art work you find here.
So, how long does it take? I am generally backed up three to six weeks
at a time, with late Winter/early Spring being the busiest time of the
year. If you want to have your bike or helmet ready for Spring, I encourage
you to get in in early.
Can I visit your shop? Yes, but please phone ahead so that I can be ready
for you. Shop hours are by appoinment only.
